who says it has? or will remain that way? everything's in flux, change is the only constant. only the mods and sean really know what their mirrors are showing them.

i do have some understanding that with freedom, comes responsibility. i think that's kind of what we stand for here, don't you?

Ya, maybe you're right. Perhaps it will recover and be stronger than before, but something just seems a little off over there. Responsibility and freedom definitely come together, but the 'main' responsibility that comes with freedom is keeping the freedom 'objective'......when the freedom becomes subjective, well then, it's not really freedom at all.

They refuse to give me posting privileges over there.......I have some interesting things I would like to post over there, but I guess my freedom of an open-mind has been repressed. I believe they feel I'm against them and was trying to challenge their power. I was only attempting to help them view their short comings and avoid what is going on over there right now...........but hey, what do I know....

I wouldn't say that the DI forum has "fallen". Actually, I never viewed it as being 'above' any other forum, or anything else for that matter. I think that I understand where you are coming from with this though, but I believe it to a combination of things adding up to create the disharmony that the forum is going through.

Personally, as with any group, I believe that the forum is a direct result of its members. This would be similar to saying that the body is a direct result of the parts that make it up, that is, the ears, the eyes, the nose, the mouth, the hands, etc, etc. Without all parts working within harmony, together, then there will be disharmony, or a clash/collision, of the parts, that will lead to further disharmony.

So, I didn't vote because I see other factors that have combined to create what the DI forum is now experiencing through its membership.

This also reminds me of a quote from the Dune novels, and if you replace God with forum and the word his with its, you can see that it is merely the perception of the DI forum having "fallen" is because of it having been 'raised up', whether that be by yourself or any other person, in their perception...

I have to agree with MMP there. The forum has gone downhill a bit lately and I don't think it can be attributed to any one thing but a culmination of a few things.. The biggest factor for me has been plain and simply....EGO

I´ve got a creepy feeling that it goes much deeper than that!! Notise how the banning comes in "waves", how all of a sudden it´s changing members posting. Every time there seem to be a flowing exchange of info and understanding between members it get´s "trolled"!! And it is easy to put this down to "Thats Life" but I´m now thinking, does it actually come from "whitin" the forum admin????????? I have a bad Gut-feeling about that!!

Yes, I see what you're saying. Maybe it's my fault, because I looked at it as an 'ultimate' forum. I thought it was set-up so nicely and I put it on a pedestal as my favorite forum, but looking at it the way you describe seems to make some good sense.........

I concur! I've been suspicious for quite some time. When I got banned, I knew the admin. over there was a joke. I noticed that every thread I posted on or started, no matter what the subject, was just attacked by their 'dogs', changing the subjects completely in attempt to get the thread put in the rant room. I really didn't mind it though because I love a good challenge, but it was getting quite ridiculous.

I was reading a thread over there earlier today and I saw a post by 'lottie', a mod, and she is now threatening that the DI Forum might get pulled.....lol......ya right, just another empty threat. Everything over there is about drama and power........what a toilet it has become
